Jose Mourinho
The ‘Special One’ Jose Mourinho has been turning down offers!
Reports from the UK say that as the board of Manchester United tries to make up its mind on whether to sign on Mourinho and when it should do the do, the
former Chelsea manager has been reportedly approached by other clubs who are offering him massive amounts of money to handle their teams.
According to The Sun UK on Thursday, Mourinho has received offers from top clubs in Italian Serie A and new football destination, China.
But the British tabloid says that the Portuguese tactician has turned down the job offers from Italy and China while he waits for the call from Manchester United. It reports further that Mourinho is hopeful that United’s answer could come within the month with Louis van Gaal facing the axe after a dreadful season and the defeat at Sunderland last weekend was the final straw for many within the club.
The Sun UK says that Mourinho’s refusal to take any other job is based on an earlier agreement between him and United. Mourinho, it says, was contacted by an intermediary representing United soon after leaving Chelsea in December and was told to sit tight and wait and not accept any other offers because the plan then was for United and Van Gaal to part this summer.
But results and performances look set to bring that date forward with others who have tried to land Mourinho, at least one offer from China and one from Italy, being rejected because the Special One is convinced his dream option of managing United will come to fruition.
